How are the live lessons delivered?
Lessons run live online for 60 minutes, twice a week — Mondays and Thursdays at 8:30pm UK time. They're interactive: students work through tasks while the teacher monitors and gives feedback in real time.
What if my child misses a lesson?
Every lesson is recorded and added to your child's library automatically. They can catch up or revisit any topic, anytime — there's never any pressure if they're ill or away.
Who is the programme for?
Year 11 students sitting GCSE maths. That's the only group we teach at the moment, so every lesson is built around the exam year.
Is there homework?
Yes — every lesson is followed by homework that consolidates what was taught. Tasks set during the lesson itself are monitored live by the teacher.
What is the weekend remedial lesson?
At Paloma we monitor our students' progress carefully. Where we believe a student requires extra support, they will be invited to a weekend remedial lesson to help them catch up.
There is no additional cost for these remedial lessons.
How will I hear about progress?
Progress is monitored continuously through lesson tasks and homework, and parents receive progress updates at key points during the year.
When does the programme run?
From 2nd November till 14th of June — seven months in total, with two weeks off for the winter break and two for the spring break.
How do the free trial and billing work?
You start with a 14-day free trial. No payment details are required to start, and there is no obligation to continue after the trial ends. After that it's £60 a month for the length of the programme — the cost of the programme is spread out so that every month is the same price.
Why is the fee the same in holiday months?
The £60 is the cost of the whole programme spread evenly over the period it runs, rather than a per-lesson charge. Some months have fewer lessons because of the winter and spring breaks; the monthly amount doesn't change.
